Four inventions behind DentistOpFlow

DentistOpFlow isn't a spreadsheet with a coat of paint. Its core methods are the subject of four provisional patent applications filed in 2026 that together turn raw supplier costs into per-procedure margin, advisory insight, controlled disclosure, and a verifiable financial-health report.

Multi-supplier cost aggregation & procedure-level margin

The cost engine.

Pulls supply-cost data from many dental suppliers in different formats, normalizes each line item to a canonical product record, and maps it to the clinical procedures it supports using stored consumption coefficients. Chair-time and staff cost are allocated on a time basis and capital equipment on a cost-per-use basis, so the system computes the true loaded cost and margin for every procedure in near-real time.

  • Heterogeneous invoice normalization
  • Canonical product → procedure-code mapping
  • Time-based overhead & per-use equipment allocation
  • Real-time loaded cost & margin
  • Supplier cost-anomaly detection
  • Anonymized peer benchmarking

Automated fee-adequacy scoring

Is this fee still adequate?

Builds a dynamic, per-procedure cost baseline from multi-supplier costs, equipment-depreciation schedules, and anonymized peer benchmarks, then compares each fee to that baseline to produce a fee-adequacy score, with an estimated confidence level and a plain-language explanation. It raises advisory alerts when a fee lags behind rising costs, but never alters a fee itself.

  • Dynamic multi-source cost baseline
  • Per-procedure adequacy score
  • Confidence levels
  • Plain-language explanations
  • Advisory only: never changes your fees

Role-based disclosure with audit logging

You decide who sees what.

An owner-controlled architecture for operational software: per-category, per-role disclosure toggles sit on a default-deny policy store, an access gateway enforces disclosure at the individual data-row level, derived insights can be shared without exposing the underlying data, and every policy change and access event is written to an immutable audit log.

  • Owner-controlled per-role / per-category toggles
  • Default-deny policy store
  • Row-level access enforcement
  • Share insights without exposing raw data
  • Immutable audit trail

Verifiable financial-health score & portable report

A practice credit story you control.

Turns procedure-level cost and margin data (plus equipment utilization, peer benchmarks, and optional cash-flow and debt-service data) into a standardized, letter-grade financial-health score. It generates a tamper-evident, portable report that, only with the practice's authorization, can be shared with a lender or insurer's underwriting system, with every issuance and access recorded.

  • Weighted factor sub-scores → letter grade
  • Tamper-evident portable report
  • Owner-authorized external sharing
  • Lender / insurer underwriting integration
  • Full issuance & access audit log
